 FOR SALE : SET 36 STACKING CHAIRS,70'S, RETRO VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL C1970. Set 36 Stacking, retro industrial chairs. Dated and labeled 'E.A. Clare & Son'.
Used in a recently demolished, Liverpool factory as general purpose chairs from union meeting, to canteen, to the Christmas knees-up, the chairs show versatility. Neatly sized, stacking, functional and comfortable. We have the same model of chair throughout, with 18 light and 18 dark, which neatly juggles them to add contrast to an already eye catching, retro form that looks good from all angles, front to back.
The chairs with a retrospective view of the 50's to 70's, were designed for function, practicality and have something of a knock-about nature. Through time and use they've taken on a contrasting, retro, antique industrial leaning. Further contrast of colour, the variety of shape and the impact of numbers, now make for an eye catching and intriguing bunch. Neatly sized with big personalities.
( All chairs are sturdy and are made from beech and ash. Distressing varies from mid to heavy, with an aged mellow feel. Vinyl pop-out seats generally good with one short split and one or two small punctures. One chair with an old, stable and sound repair ).
